Witness appeal after serious injury collision in Havant |

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Havant on Wednesday, January 3.
At 5.25pm, a blue Yamaha motorcycle believed to be travelling east along Elmleigh Road just past Havant police station was in collision with two woman pedestrians, aged 53 and 68 years.
The 53-year-old from Petersfield sustained a broken femur and the 68-year-old also from Petersfield sustained a serious head injury.
Both women were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital.
The 53-year-old remains in a stable condition.
The 68-year-old was initially taken to QA Hospital but transferred to Southampton General Hospital’s neurological unit on Thursday, January 4, where she remains in a stable condition.
The motorcycle rider, a 23-year-old man from Havant, sustained minor injuries.
He was also taken to hospital but later discharged.
Police at Cosham Roads Policing Unit are investigating the circumstances of the incident and appealing for anyone who saw it or either the motorcycle or the pedestrians prior to it to contact them.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent.
He was bailed until April 13.
