Roads policing officers have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to a fatal collision in Emsworth.
87-year-old Francis Richard Tolmon from Emsworth was crossing Havant Road near the roundabout at the junction with North Street, Havant, when he was in collision with a double-decker bus.
The incident happened at around 11.50am on Saturday, December 9.
Mr Tolmon sustained serious head injuries and died later that day at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.
PC Nick Oliver, of Cosham Roads Policing Unit, is appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident but has not yet come forward to contact police at their earliest opportunity.
He said: “Although we have a number of witnesses from vehicles at the scene, we are asking anyone who may have been walking past at the time or any other motorists to come forward with any information that might help our investigation.
“The area would have been extremely busy at that time of the day on a Saturday, especially with Christmas coming up.”
Can you help?
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Nick Oliver at Cosham Roads Policing Unit quoting Operation Quail on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Mini-Com users can call 01962 875000.
