Following the successful introduction of the Continental Christmas
Market last year, which attracted over 260,000 people, the Market is
set to return to Chichester city centre this month.
The market will take place in North Street and East Street on Monday
26 November and will close the evening of Wednesday 28 November, with
over 30 stallholders representing different countries around Europe.
There will be sweets and meats, clothes and soaps, leather goods, cakes
and much more from around the continent.
Councillor Maureen Elliott, Portfolio Holder for the Economy, said,
"I
would encourage everyone to visit Chichester's Continental Christmas
Market. The large variety of different stalls on offer should provide a
good opportunity to purchase early Christmas presents. I would also
like to thank, on behalf of the District Council, our local radio
station, Spirit FM, who have run a £100 giveaway in the week leading up
to the market and Market Place (Europe) Ltd for working with us again."
Market Place (Europe) Ltd is one of the largest operators of special event markets in the UK.
