Not sure this is the right section or not, but it definitely is to do with poor planing anyway!

I decided to take the kids to the beach so drove down to West Wittering beach on Saturday afternoon from Guildford, normally about an hours drive, except we got got stuck in a monster traffic jam from Midhurst all the way to West Dean where they were holding their Chilli Festival, the traffic jam was caused by this event and meant we had to sit in the car in the heat for over an hour just to cover the 8 or so miles from Midhurst to West Dean, overall journey time 2 hours!

I hope the people behind this event can explain why things were so badly organised and ruined ours and many other peoples afternoon.
