Hi Wayne,

Having watched the news myself and with a little bit more than just a passing interest in weather generally I think it safe to say that Chichester Harbour is safe from the tidal surge being talked about in the media today. The tidal surge in question really effects places bordering the North Sea, especially where the coastline between the UK and Europe narrows, imagine it like a large funnel. If the predicted surge meets a UK or European mainland habitation at high tide there could be trouble!

The weather is not great at the moment so take it easy!

Cheers
